The kids have spoken… and their new playground is up at Simon Riverside Park!

At last year’s Trunk-or-Treat, kids got to vote on their favorite playground design, and this is the one they picked!

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make this project happen—and especially to all the kids who cast their votes!

As part of the Town of Fond du Lac's 10-Year Comprehensive Plan Update, we are beginning the public participation process and gathering input on the goals, strategies, and recommendations that will help guide the Town's future over the next 20 years.

Your feedback will help identify which priorities from the current Comprehensive Plan remain important, which should be revised, and whether there are new issues that should be addressed in the updated plan.

Please complete the survey by August 10, 2026.

Fond du Lac County Board Chair, Steven Abel, has announced that he is accepting applications for a member to serve on the Fond du Lac County Board of Supervisors representing District 5. The district includes Town of Eldorado, Ward 1; Town of Fond du Lac, Wards 1, 3 & 6; and Town of Lamartine, Wards 1-2. A map of the district may be requested from the Office of the Fond du Lac County Clerk.

The appointment will fill the unexpired term of Sarah Ann Smith, who announced her resignation effective August 1, 2026. The current term expires on April 18, 2028. Minimum requirements for the position are U.S. citizenship, age 18 or older, and residence within District 5.

Those interested in serving on the County Board should send a resume and cover letter with your name, address and phone number to the Fond du Lac County Clerk, PO Box 1557, Fond du Lac, WI 54936 or email [email protected] no later than Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Bulky waste day is one week away! Are you ready for it?

On Saturday, May 30th, TOWN of Fond du Lac residents may take their bulky waste to the dumpsters at the Town Hall (W5990 W Pioneer Road) from 8am to 1pm. If you have questions about acceptable items, please contact GFL at (920) 685-0771.
