With hunting season upon us members practiced different techniques to rescue a distressed hunter from a tree stand. Under direction of Car 2 Jeff Abrial members utilized new and old techniques to safely lower a hunter to the ground and stabilize them for transport in the UTV.

Today Chief Eisenhart and Chief Jeff Abrial along with dozens of Firefighters from across Oneida County, attended funeral services for Floyd Fire Chief John “Fluff” Stark, Sr. Chief Stark was a highly respected member of the fire service as well as the firefighting community. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of having known him and work along side of him. RIP Chief we got it from here!

Today at approximately 1640hrs Otter Lake was notified by Oneida County Dispatch for a single motorcycle accident with unknown injuries on the Moose River Road close to the Lewis county line. R1 and E2 responded and upon arrival evaluated one male patient with non life threatening injuries. The patient was transferred over to Old Forge ambulance and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Units remained on the scene for traffic control and clean up before returning to quarters. Otter Lake was assisted by the TOWPD, NYSP and the OCSO.
