Evie's Journey A story of survival, healing and how one family, and many caring individuals, are making a difference and saving a life. John Parish, Louisiana.

Evie survived life on the streets of St. Then she survived hurricane Isaac on those same streets. She was picked up as a stray on September 5, 2012, but in a post Isaac world rescues and shelters were low on resources and overflowing with needy pets. Facing certain death at the shelter Evie found an advocate. The shelter volunteer put out a plea and my family decided she was worth the challenge. W

e reached out for donations and brought her into our home to begin healing and living again. This is her journey. Please follow her and share her story. If you would like to donate to her care you can donate directly to our vet:

Today marks seven years since this adorable goofball officially became mine. I forget what life was like before she was permanently glued to my side at all times. Home sweet home

Unfortunately, our road trip got cut a little short when Hurricane Laura started heading towards my family in Lake Charles. But, the trip we had was still amazing and Evie was a perfect angel. Looking forward to more adventures with my girl.

For now we are staying home with a lot of new roommates.
