This week, Xyston Squadron highlights SGT Mendiola from LCAT 3620, as the Advisor of the Week, for his contributions during a recent Partner Force Command Post Exercise. SGT Mendiola ensured the tracking of sustainment issues and ensured timely updates by the staff. His attention to detail improved the accuracy of the Partner Force’s reporting throughout the exercise. During key decision points, he proactively identified gaps and elevated concerns to the Partner Force senior leaders that might have otherwise been overlooked. In the AAR, SGT Mendiola provided clear and candid observations that helped the team understand root causes rather than just symptoms. His dedication and professionalism set the example for others to follow and exemplify the highest standard.

SGT Zarrabal, MAT 3320 Intelligence Advisor is this week’s Advisor of the Week. During planning for the ISF Modular Training Program, he operated above his pay grade by developing and coordinating creative solutions for Partner Force’s range use as part of the Modular Training Program. In addition to his mission contributions, SGT Zarrabal models an unwavering commitment to professional growth through his dedication to preparing for the upcoming Sergeant Audie Murphy Board next month. Furthermore, SGT Zarrabal created and will deliver a period of instruction on the Black Hornet sUAS system to fellow Advisors in the force package, enhancing the Team’s overall readiness to support partners in all domains. SGT Zarrabal exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism, adaptability, and dedication.

SSG Samaroo is the Xyston Advisor of the Week. SSG Samaroo serves as the Unit Movement Officer for CAT 3310 and continues to exceed expectations, expediting SFAB’s ability to focus on dynamic mission set. His coordination with several external formations ensured a smooth and efficient transition of his team. His efforts will maximize the team’s ability to support the ISF mission. SSG Samaroo’s is a critical member of the team and consistently embodies the highest standard.

This week’s Advisor of the Week is SSG David Victor. Over the last two weeks he led three Subject Matter Expert Exchanges for the Partner Force including C-UAS, Armor Reconnaissance, and Troop Leading Procedures. He combined doctrinal fundamentals with operational experience and practical demonstrations to deliver incredibly effective professional development to the Partner Force’s NCO Corps. SSG Victor’s contributions are a model of the SFAB’s mission, reflect his dedication to duty, and set the highest standard.

This week’s Advisor of the Week is CPT Kevin Lynch, MAT 3321 Team Leader. CPT Lynch exhibited outstanding commitment, initiative, and leadership throughout the past week as he meticulously planned, coordinated, and resourced the upcoming TM and SQD STX/LFX in support of a Partner Force Infantry Company. His ability to balance multiple complex requirements, ranging from training oversight to logistical preparation demonstrates both his organizational skill and his dedication to mission success. His performance highlights not only his tactical and operational proficiency but also his ability to inspire confidence and foster a culture of readiness within his team and across the formation.

The Xyston Squadron proudly recognizes SGT Ian Gilbert, MAT 3311 Medical Advisor, as Advisor of the Week for his dedication and excellence. SGT Gilbert took the initiative to deliver an informative 3rd SFAB capabilities brief to the USAF Medical professionals, coordinated and led a joint medical instruction with the USAF and Partner Force. He served as the lead instructor, providing comprehensive joint TCCC understanding that enhanced the combat medical capabilities and readiness of both the USAF and Partner Force. SGT Gilbert’s professionalism, initiative, and ability to strengthen interoperability between US and Partner Forces exemplify the advisory mission of the 3rd SFAB.
