Operational Security (OPSEC)
All personnel (including families and friends of service members) have a responsibility to ensure that no information that might put our military members in jeopardy or would be of use to our adversaries is posted to websites that are readily accessible to the public. Not surprisingly, that information includes, among other things, technical information, operation plans, troop movement schedules, current and future locations of military units and ships, descriptions of overseas bases, details of weapons system, or discussions of areas frequented by service members overseas. Other information that’s not as obvious but should also not be discussed in an open forum includes daily military activities and operations, equipment status, unit morale, and results of operations. Any of these topics, if released in an open medium, have the ability to provide our adversaries opportunities to harm our military members. Arkansas National Guard Mask Wear Policy Update:

Personnel present in any Arkansas National Guard facility located on Fort Chaffee, Ebbing Air National Guard Base, the 189th Airlift Wing campus on Little Rock Air Force Base, Jonesboro Armed Forces Readiness Center, Hot Springs AFRC, El Dorado AFRC and Gum Springs AFRC will comply with the Deputy Secretary of Defense updated mask wear guidance, as those locations are considered federally funded facilities.

The guidance is: All service members, federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, WILL WEAR A MASK in an indoor setting at those locations. Additionally, service members, federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors who are NOT FULLY VACCINATED must also continue to physically distance consistent with applicable CDC and DoD Force Health Protection guidance.

Installations that are state owned and federally funded are considered to be under the ownership of the state and are NOT subject to the Deputy Secretary of Defense’s updated mask wear guidance. This includes Camp Joseph T. Robinson (minus the National Guard Bureau’s Professional Education Center) and all armories not previously listed. Personnel present in National Guard facilities located on Camp Robinson (minus PEC) and armories not listed above are still highly encouraged to, but are NOT REQUIRED to wear masks.

Military members and employees in all categories should direct questions to their chain of command/supervisor.

Ref: FRAGORD 2_ARNG EXORD_21-042 and Arkansas Act 1002.
All individuals, REGARDLESS of vaccination status, are REQUIRED to wear a mask in Military Department of Arkansas administrative buildings and facilities.
Individuals, on Arkansas National Guard installations, bases, and in armories and facilities, who are not fully vaccinated, will continuously wear masks and practice social distancing in accordance with published guidance until updated directives are issued.
