Fort Drum Army Substance Abuse Program - ASAP It is important to start the school year routines soon so our children can get back into the swing of things. Have them start waking up earlier. Go through the morning routine. Have dinner as a family at the dinner table if you have not been. Go to bed at a normal time. Summer is a great time to let the routine relax but we can start the school year routine the day before school.

Children bring so many different emotions to the first week of school: excitement and anticipation, fear and wonder. The change may lead to increased meltdowns and/or regressions. Make the transition less overwhelming with these 5 tools.

For situational awareness we have new mask guidance

The latest COVID-19 mitigation measures have been updated in General Order 1K, which goes into effect today on post. It's available on the Fort Drum website at https://home.army.mil/drum/index.php/about/Garrison/public-affairs/coronavirus-update.

Here's what you need to know:
*All service members, family members, Federal employees, contractors and visitors – regardless of vaccination status – will wear a mask in all indoor settings. While dining indoors, personnel are required to wear masks while entering the building and while inside, but can remove their masks while eating.

* Off-duty travel by any unvaccinated service member outside the tri-county area to any “Substantial” or “High” county, including where leave or pass would normally not be required, requires battalion-level commander approval.

*Restriction of Movement (ROM) is required for any unvaccinated service member arriving at Fort Drum after international travel, including for redeployment. Any unvaccinated service member arriving at Fort Drum on a PCS from a “Substantial” or “High” county will require a 10-day ROM. This can be reduced to seven days with a negative PCR test administered on the fifth day.

*Only vaccinated personnel can enter Magrath Sports Complex prior to 0900 each day. Personnel will provide proof of vaccination upon entering. After 0900, the facility is available to all personnel, but unvaccinated personnel must continue to wear a mask in accordance with CDC and DoD guidance.
