The Fort Drum Family Resource Center strives to provide a supportive environment for Soldiers, Civilians Employees, Retirees and Family Members as they deal with the stress and uncertainty.

Solicitations will be promptly removed. FRC Mission Our Mission is to provide a comprehensive, one stop supportive environment for Soldiers, DA Civilians and Family members as they deal with the stress of work-life and the uncertainty of illness, injury and the effects of war. We ensure that the needs of our customers are being met and their well-being maintained. Why Use the FRC? It is a convenient location with services from several agencies. Through the network of providers in the FRC you can develop your transition plan. Our goal is to help you identify and examine your options, establish a sense of control, set realistic goals and develop a local support network before you transition from the Army. Services in the FRC: Information and Referral services (I&R) Outreach Financial Counseling (FRP) Army Emergency Relief (AER) Relocation Readiness (RELO) Lending Closet Employee Assistance Program (EAP) (DA Civilians and Family Members!) Army Volunteer Corp (AVC) Mobilization and Deployment (Mob/Dep)

FYI

Anyone traveling in or around Fort Drum should be prepared for detours and delays the afternoon of Sunday, January 17, due to heightened security requirements in preparation for a high-profile visitor to the installation. If at all possible, avoid traveling around the area of the Wheeler Sack Army Airfield on Sunday.

Motorists should also anticipate the closure of Route 26 between Evans Mills and Great Bend and plan to use alternate routes for several hours of the afternoon and into the early evening. Emergency Vehicles will be allowed access to the road during the closure. The Wheeler Sack Army Airfield gate will be closed all weekend per the normal schedule. Additionally, the Gas Alley Access Control point on RT 26 will be closed to outgoing traffic during that time frame. Thank you for everyone's patience as our local law enforcement officials work to keep this area secure!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Operating Schedule:

The Fort Drum Medical Activity will operate on a half-day schedule Friday, Jan. 15, during the Division DONSA. All clinics and services will be close at 12 p.m.

The MEDDAC will be closed to all patient care and services, to include the Bowe TMC consolidated respiratory and fever clinic, on Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Normal operations will resume Tuesday, Jan. 19.

💳💳TIPS TO AVOID DAMAGING YOUR CREDIT💳💳

⏰ Never pay late-Lenders look for patterns of missed or late payments, and being even one day late on a payment could lower your credit score.

📈 Avoid maxing out your credit card-If possible, try to limit the amount owed to about 30 percent or less of your credit limit.

🤔 Carefully consider canceling cards, especially older accounts-Creditors like to see borrowers with long credit histories where they have paid on time, every time. The longer you have had a credit card and have made timely payments, the better.

⚖ Strike a balance between paper and plastic-Having a record of on-time payments for both revolving accounts and installment loans should help your credit score.

🚫 Do not apply for credit you do not need-The more credit inquiries or applications for credit that you have, the riskier you will seem to creditors, and that could also lower your credit score.

The Fort Drum Thrift Shop has this great program to help children pick out those special Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

For kids looking to get presents for their families we have a new program running now. We have seen how much kids love to shop and give gifts they select themselves. We would like to offer a kids Holiday market at the thrift shop.

Kids can come into the thrift shop with a list they make on who they are shopping for and what kind of present they would like to get them. They bring that list into the shop and they will receive 50 percent off their purchases.

To be able to help them shop safely we are asking for families to make an appointment by emailing [email protected]. we are also offering free gift wrapping to help them be the best gift givers they can be.

Slots will fill up fast and there are limited slots available dependent on staffing and volunteers.

We are hoping this helps make this holiday season brighter for the kids in our community. Masks will be required.

GO1 violations are taken very seriously across the Division. Violations, both large and small, have resulted in serious consequences that could follow Soldiers for the rest of their careers. Violations can result in a range of consequences, from a Company Grade Article 15 to a Court-Martial. We've also provided a graphic on GO1F for more information. Let's make sure we look out for each other, abide by the General Order and stay safe!

The Fort Drum FMWR and USO Fort Drum Trunk or Treat is happening this Friday October 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Magrath Sports Complex Softball Fields! Put on your costume and grab your Halloween bucket to make sure your family doesn't miss out on any of the candy. Check out the safety guidelines below and note that time slots are based on the first letter of your last name!

In order to keep everyone safe, we ask that you follow these safety measures:
- Face masks are required to be worn.
- Remain with the group you attend with.
- Stay within the designated pathway.

If you plan on attending, please reference the grouping chart below for designated time frames:
