Resolute Support Mission

We @NATO Resolute Support continue to ensure #Afghanistan never again becomes a safe haven for terrorists. 9/11 affected so many lives. The multi-national coalition still stands strong 19 years later, protecting our homelands from terrorism. To all of you, thank you.

On the eve of IAN, the #Afghan people deserve this moment. They deserve this moment because of the sacrifice of their soldiers, their police, their civilian population, after 40 years of war.

We'll stand with them. We remain committed to our cause with them. We'll support them in the #peace process. We'll continue to support them on the battlefield. And they need to know that. And we'll make sure they know that all the time. Their sacrifice is not lost on us.

What the payroll tax deferral means for Soldiers

It's called a payroll tax deferral, but what does it mean for Soldiers and federal employees? Let's break it down:
What is it?: A withholding of the 6.2 percent Social Security tax from wages.
Who is it for?: Active-duty service members and federal employees whose monthly basic pay is less than $8,666.66.
When does it start?: Effective mid-September and through the end of 2020.
Why?: In order to provide relief during the COVID-19 pandemic, a presidential memorandum was issued, with guidance from the Internal Revenue Service.
What else?: This temporary deferral is automatic (no opt-outs), and the collection of deferred taxes will be withdrawn from wages between January and April of next year.

The XVIII Airborne Corps has introduced the Corps Innovation Challenge, a program open to all Soldiers, DA Civilians, and Family members across the corps that seeks to uncover and implement new ideas across every aspect of life and service within the corps. Here is all you need to know!

I. WHAT IS THE CORPS INNOVATION CHALLENGE?
The XVIII Airborne Corps Innovation Challenge is a “user-generated” program; the initiative empowers everyone across the corps to implement desired change. This program seeks to uncover and implement new ideas to address old problems.

II. WHO MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE XVIII AIRBORNE CORPS INNOVATION CHALLENGE?
All Soldiers, DA Civilians, and Family members across all units and installations within the XVIII Airborne Corps are encouraged to participate in this program.

III. WHERE IS THE CORPS INNOVATION CHALLENGE?
This program is online. The website, at https://innovatedefense.net/xviii-airborne, serves as an entry point for desired change. The website does not require CAC access and is available on civilian or government systems, iPhone, and Android.

IV. WHEN DOES THIS PROGRAM BEGIN?
The program starts now. Please submit your ideas through the website.

V. WHY IS THE CORPS LAUNCHING THIS PROGRAM?
Why? To create a more effective organization. New solutions to existing problems lie trapped within the administrative structure of this organization. This program seeks to unlock these ideas and apply them.

VI. WHAT KIND OF IDEAS CAN PEOPLE SUBMIT?
All ideas are welcome. We are looking for inventive concepts related to everything from on-post MWR facilities, to the platforms through which we communicate with our Families, to the way we organize for training, to the timeline for tank gunnery, and everything in between.

VII. HOW DOES THE CHALLENGE WORK?
Thanks for asking! Part of this is a competition; the website introduces a new problem every 90 days. We will highlight and reward the person who submits the best idea with the broadest application, as determined by our Corps Innovation Panel. The owner of the winning idea receives a Meritorious Service Medal, a 4-day pass, and a slot for the school of their choice.

Separately, we are looking for solutions to problems identified by seasoned veterans, new troops, Spouses, parents, and DA Civilians. Those ideas go into the website as well.

WHERE CAN I GO FOR MORE INFORMATION?
Visit the XVIII Airborne Corps Innovation Challenge website at this link: https://innovatedefense.net/xviii-airborne, for more information.

I pray for everyone to Stay Safe and continue to survive this Pandemic. When in doubt have faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and have faith in God. Don’t be haters like the MRRF, who feels the need to shut up Chaplains!
God Bless Cpt. Amy Smith, Maj. Scott Ingram and all the service members of Fort Drum, NY.

So first off I realize that this is a long shot at best, but I have to ask because if any group of individuals can help it's you guys. I'm looking for photos of HHC, 10th SBDE circa 2008-2009, if it helps narrow things down it was under the command of COL Drake and CSM Fritzing. If anyone wants to know who's asking it's former SPC DiMattia.
How I walk around as a civilian... Be safe my brothers and sisters ,,,, Sometimes our enemy is right here at home.
Hi there ! My brother, Michael Ollis was a soldier stationed with 222nd combat team. He was killed in action on August 28th 2013. I am his older sister who is inquiring about an address for deployed veterans. My school In NJ where I teach is conducting a service project for Veteran’s Day. We would like to send a deployed unit our project . Please put me into contact with anyone who can assist me in my efforts . Deeds, not words !
110th is ready to roll, but they're not the only ones; units all across Fort Drum, from the 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion to 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, are #ReadyNow to aid in the #ArmyResponse, should they get the call.
