Good afternoon! Many of you asked about a change in the mask wear policy on Fort Drum resulting from the new DoD policy. In concert with that DoD policy, fully vaccinated individuals, defined as those who are at least two weeks beyond their final dose, are no longer required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors on Fort Drum facilities, with a few exceptions.

In the following facilities, masks are still required, irrespective of vaccine status:

1. Child Development Centers to include School Aged Centers
2. Medical and dental facilities
3. Food preparation / dissemination areas; and
4. COVID-19 vaccination sites

For unvaccinated Soldiers, there is no change to mask policy on post.

DoD policy requires masks for unvaccinated personnel indoors on federal property. While off-post, DoD personnel should comply with updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State of New York guidelines regarding areas where masks should be worn.

The intent is NOT to have “vaccine police” and start asking everyone their vaccination status, but rather to get back to some normalcy while trusting our Soldiers and community members to live up to the Army Values of integrity and respect. Soldiers who fail to comply with this policy are subject to punishment.

Soldiers from across the 10th Mountain Division are being trained by CW2 Dave Dixon, the 10th MDSB Ground Support Technician on the proper maintenance and operation for the Multi-Temperature Refrigerated Container System (MTRCS).

This system is a portable cold storage container that allows for the proper transportation of subsistence, providing the capability to store frozen items able to feed 800 Soldiers for 3 days in any environment.

"The operational readiness rate of the MTRCS is 89% for the entire Division," said CW3 Cory Shook, the Maintenance Technician for the 10th MDSB. "Soldiers aren't normally trained to maintain this equipment, so we are getting them to the point in which they can properly maintain and operate this equipment throughout the Division to increase overall readiness."

10th MDSB D-Series Awards

The 33rd Financial Management Support Unit held a ceremony to award their Soldiers for having the fastest time in the brigade, during the 10th Mountain Division's D-Series competition that occurred on Feb. 10, 2021.

Based on the original D-Series at #CampHale, Colorado, during World War II, the D-Series pays homage to the first 10th Mountain Division Soldiers who trained high in the Rocky Mountains and fought to victory in Northern Italy.

Soldiers had to trek through the snow while navigating to different stations in which they conducted a series of events, such as throwing hand grenades, weapons checks, rope climbs, and sled dragging.

So first off I realize that this is a long shot at best, but I have to ask because if any group of individuals can help it's you guys. I'm looking for photos of HHC, 10th SBDE circa 2008-2009, if it helps narrow things down it was under the command of COL Drake and CSM Fritzing. If anyone wants to know who's asking it's former SPC DiMattia.
How I walk around as a civilian... Be safe my brothers and sisters ,,,, Sometimes our enemy is right here at home.
Hi there ! My brother, Michael Ollis was a soldier stationed with 222nd combat team. He was killed in action on August 28th 2013. I am his older sister who is inquiring about an address for deployed veterans. My school In NJ where I teach is conducting a service project for Veteran’s Day. We would like to send a deployed unit our project . Please put me into contact with anyone who can assist me in my efforts . Deeds, not words !
110th is ready to roll, but they're not the only ones; units all across Fort Drum, from the 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion to 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, are #ReadyNow to aid in the #ArmyResponse, should they get the call.
