Defense Imagery Defense Visual Information, a component of the Defense Media Activity, executes operational management and proponency of visual information (VI) for DoD components in support of U.S. military operations and activities.

This is the official page of the Defense Imagery Operations Management Center, which comprises three specialized VI centers: * Joint Combat Camera Center (Fort Meade, Maryland) - Plans and coordinates for the acquisition and utilization of still and motion imagery in support of joint operations across the range of military operations and exercises. Coordinates directly with Combatant Commands and Joint Staff for emergent Combat Camera (COMCAM) force requirements. Provides direct support to deployed COMCAM forces for imagery transmission and dissemination. * Services Center (Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania) - Provides DoD enterprise-level visual information services. Coordinates all DoD and public visual information customer fulfillments. * Records Center (Riverside, California) - Provides DoD enterprise-level records management. Maintains the DoD physical and digital imagery archive and makes all DoD visual information accessions to the National Archives.

Mission: The Defense Imagery Management Operations Center (DIMOC), as part of the Defense Media Activity’s (DMA) Defense Visual Information Component (DVI), executes the operational management of visual information for DoD Components in support of U.S. military activities and operations.

Military-related information not previously cleared for release will also be deleted, to include: • Technical information • Operation plans • Troop movement schedules • Current and future locations of military units and ships • Descriptions of overseas bases • Details of weapons systems • Discussions of areas frequented by service members overseas • Other information that's not as obvious but should also not be discussed in an open forum includes daily military activities and operations, equipment status, unit morale, and results of operations. Information on any of these topics, if released without authorization in an open medium, could provide our adversaries opportunities to harm our military members. Our Story

This is the official page of the Defense Imagery Management Operations Center, which comprises three specialized VI centers: * Joint Combat Camera Center (Fort Meade, Maryland) - Plans and coordinates for the acquisition and utilization of still and motion imagery in support of ongoing joint operations across the range of military operations and exercises. Coordinates directly with Combatant Commands and Joint Staff for emergent Combat Camera (COMCAM) force requirements. Provides direct support to deployed COMCAM forces for imagery transmission and dissemination. * Services Center (Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania) - The VI Services Center provides DoD enterprise-level visual information services. Coordinates all DoD and public visual information customer fulfillments. * Records Center (Riverside, California) - The VI Records Center collects, curates, manages, digitizes and preserves historic physical images. The VI Records Center is the sole transfer point for DoD VI record material to the National Archives.
