Thirty-five. That's how many Marines made up the Marine Forces Reserve when the United States entered World War I. 🦅 🌎 ⚓️

The entire force could have fit into about six rows of seats on a commercial airplane. From those 35 Marines grew a century of service, readiness, and Reserve Marines balancing civilian careers, family life, and duty to the Corps.

Happy birthday to the Marine Forces Reserve, and thank you to every Reserve Marine, past and present, for continuing that remarkable legacy.

We have big news! We are one of 48 organizations across the U.S. that were awarded a Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant, part of the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network. This grant will bring creative writing workshops to veterans and military-connected participants across the New York City area, giving them space to explore and share their stories through guided writing, in partnership with Writers Guild Initiative. This grant supports community-based arts projects that aim to address the experiences, challenges, and strengths of our military communities. Learn more at arts.gov/CreativeForces
