Fort Hall Fire was assisted by Chubbuck fire and BLM. The fire burned approximately 4 acres of sage brush and grass. No one injured or structures damaged.

Fire units were on scene for about 4 hours and cleared the scene at about 6:30 PM. The fire started in the haystack and moved into the sage brush and grass.

On 2/6/2018 at 3:30 AM Fort Hall Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire on Rio Vista just north of Cemetery Road.

When fire units arrived they found an single wide trailer fully involved with fire. Fort Hall Fire was assisted by Chubbuck Fire, Fort Hall PD, Bannock Co. Sheriff, and Chubbuck PD.

There was no one in the structure when it caught fire. No injuries. The structure was not used as a residence, but as a storage unit and weight room. The structure is a total loss.

On November 14, 2017, we had our second meeting with the architects for the new fire station. We discussed the needed sizes for each room. We should have an initial design for the building next week before the holiday break.

The department personnel will be helping to get the needs for electrical, IT drops and water sources for the building over the next week.

We will keep you all posted on the updates as we move forward.

Thank you,
Chief Briggs
