On Thursday we kicked off the day with another workshop block before getting a very special visit from a Black Hawk! After landing, the passengers joined us for lunch and even got in on some Gaga Ball and 9 Square with the campers. When it was time for them to head out, they gave us a fly-by and waved goodbye to everyone at camp. 🚁

Next up was Kangaroo Court, where our Teen Council handed out fun, themed certificates to our campers. We also had a very special certificate for Josh, our amazing Program Director, for everything he does for our program and our campers.

We finished the evening with one of the most anticipated parts of camp—the Camp Dance! Those who did not want to dance enjoyed the movie Project Hail Mary. 🚀✨

On Wednesday evening, it was time for one of our favorite camp traditions—Skit Night! Each cabin created and performed their own space-themed skit, and this year even our cabin parents and volunteers joined in with a skit of their own. There were plenty of laughs and lots of creativity on display!

We ended the night the best way possible—with s’mores around camp. 🌌🔥

🇺🇸 A Special Moment at Camp Runnamucka 🇺🇸

This year, we were incredibly fortunate to have the Brody family lead a flag retirement ceremony for our campers, volunteers, and staff.

The flag we retired had faithfully served its time, and we were given the opportunity to witness it being respectfully retired. Not everyone gets the chance to experience a flag retirement ceremony, which made this an especially meaningful moment for everyone at camp.

We are extremely thankful to the Brody family for taking the time to share this tradition with us and for giving our campers the opportunity to learn more about the meaning and respect behind retiring our nation’s flag.

For our military children especially, it was a powerful moment of reflection—a reminder of what the flag represents, the sacrifices made by our service members, and the sacrifices our military families make right alongside them.

It was a special moment of Camp Runnamucka 2026 that we are grateful to have shared together. 🇺🇸

Our 2nd full day of Camp Runnamucka was packed with workshops!
Campers jumped into STEM activities like air rockets, Solar S’mores, Slime Lab, pop rockets, and glow-in-the-dark jars. We also had rock painting, the ever-popular waterfall hike, and our friends from Prevention joined us for some awesome workshops with our campers.
New this year, we added a dancing workshop so everyone could learn our favorite line dances and a few new moves to get ready for the Camp Dance!
Another full day of learning, laughing, creating, and making memories at Camp Runnamucka! 🚀✨

Camp Runnamucka 2026
