The Bataan Death March is a difficult 26.2 miles march through desert terrain in White Sands, New Mexico. It is done in rememberance of the heroes of World War II that defended the Philippine Islands.

On 22 March, 2015, representatives from the 81st Civil Affairs Battalion participated in the march. Most notably, Major Nelson, the Battalion Vet, finished in first place, with an impressive time of 3 hours, 47 minutes, and 5 seconds.
