GEN Scott Miller sent me a note today "Dan, it's all good - we've got guys on the ground working out the chaos." I believe him too. Sometimes in life we have to hit rock bottom before we can see clearly and solve problems. Same holds true in Afghanistan. There is hope there - my former interpreters in Kabul have ice in their veins and smile at the Taliban in every checkpoint. Who knows if they'll even survive? They are brave, and we are too - let's raise a prayer and a toast to the folks on the ground today. Here are some shirt designs - will post a link to order later once it's active

Viper family, we all shared hardships together in Afghanistan. Those experiences stick with us - whether they were awful, mundane, funny or sad. Afghanistan is a part of our life story. The events unfolding as the Taliban retakes the country is upsetting... reach out if you want to chat. The TB was a worthy adversary, and you are still a worthy warrior. I won't pretend to post any motivational or inspirational words, but you are all on my mind. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Five years ago Viper Company returned from Afghanistan to Ft Knox - it felt great getting on that C-17 in MEZ and flying out of country - and it feels even better raising a drink tonight in your honor. Cheers!

I would like to thank everyone who helped during the last deployment, because of you it was successful. But, now the time has come for us all to move on to a new chapter of our life. Please enjoy these last few photos of the 3rd Brigade casing it's colors before we shut down the page. May you be Blessed on the next phase of your life. I will miss all of you. Lynette
