Have you been trying to get an #Airborne assignment, or hoping to avoid one?
#USArmyHRC and the #USArmy needs to know your preference. It only takes a few minutes to let us know at https://www.ask.army.mil/ASK/.
Soldiers have four options:
- Airborne Volunteer (I will move right now to jump)
- Airborne Duty Preferred (I want to jump but not until my next scheduled move)

QM Team,

If you are having issues in the 22-04 market, submit your trouble tickets. HRC is here to assist and resolve any issues you may have.

HRC received a number of ASK-EM system trouble tickets in the first couple days of the 22-04 market, which opened this week. We’re working through the trouble tickets to ensure every NCO’s assignment preferences are captured.

We believe the system errors are resolved, but encourage NCOs in the 22-04 market to continue to submit trouble tickets if they experience any additional system issues with ASK-EM.

QM Team, Please take a moment to congratulate our newly promoted Master Sergeant, MSG Timothy Tirado (92G).

While the ASK-EM 22-03 has closed, currently the slating of Soldiers to requisitions in line with preferences and Readiness requirements are being executed. This process is a lengthy one and takes about 4 weeks to complete. We anticipate slating to be complete the last week of September- the first week of October.

Soldiers will receive notification of their assignment during that time. Understand that slating can not be manipulated or influenced.

Regardless of your OML standing, you may elect to opt-out of consideration for selection to attend the Class 73, US Army Sergeants Major Academy. NCOs who elect to opt-out of consideration for SGM-A selection must execute the following steps:

1. Access the HRC website: https://www.hrc.army.mil.
2. Select “Self Service” (left side of page)
3. Select “Personal Preference Pages for Centralized Selection Process” under Assignments tab of the Tools and Application Directory page.
4. Select Command Preference Designation (CPD) title of the HRC Soldier Selection Preference Page.
5. Follow all instructions and, if your preference is to not be considered, select: “DO NOT CONSIDER ME FOR SGM-A ATTENDANCE AT THIS TIME”.

The CPD will close tomorrow (5 August 2021). The Army will attempt to honor individual preferences; however, Army requirements may result in selection when readiness demands dictate. See MILPER Message 21-242 for more details.

Quartermaster Soldiers,

You may have heard about a new term being used called YMAV. YMAV stands for Year Month Available. This is basically the date in which you are available to move. YMAV is used to align NCOs to an Enlisted Manning Cycle (EMC) and associated ASK-Enlisted Module (ASK-EM)(formerly known as Marketplace).

The way it works is if you are a SSG and you arrive at Fort Hood, TX, your YMAV would be 36 months from the date you arrive on station. If you have been on station 24 months and you are promoted to SFC, your YMAV would be adjusted 24 months from the time you pin.

There are multiple rules that can change your YMAV i.e. Reenlistment, High School Senior Stab, etc. There are circumstances in which your YMAV can be broken and you are allowed to move earlier i.e. PCSing for Drill Sergeant and Recruiting duty. It is not a guarantee that you will move at your YMAV. Currently, HRC and your BDE S1 has the ability to view your YMAV. Tentatively, Soldiers will be able to view their YMAV via the A.S.K. website.

Here’s the latest #ACFT guidance from Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA) Michael A. Grinston.

“I am excited to announce that as of 01 October 2020, the Army Combat Fitness Test 2.0 will replace the Army Physical Fitness Test as our test of record. Just like our Army, the way we assess physical fitness continues to evolve. We’re moving forward so we can become stronger and healthier for our Nation.”

Oh, if you haven’t seen SMA Grinston’s ACFT scorecards—WOW! 😳
