Full steam ahead, Transporters! Had the pleasure of driving one of the few Army locomotives left in fleet today.

It was an incredible experience to work with top-class NCOs who bring their knowledge of the tracks to both the Army and civilian sector.

Nothing like living out your childhood dream of being a conductor and blowing the whistle!

We truly have an incredible Corps of Transportation professionals. I could not be more proud to be a part of this organization!

Coffee with the CoT: Episode 1!

Today’s topic: Training with industry

The US Army Transportation School offers a unique and developmental broadening assignment for active component Transporters to train first hand with private logistics companies learning commercial supply chain management techniques to bring back to the force and implement them within their units.

We got lucky! SFC Barada, who just finished his assignment with UPS, was around right before filming so we asked if he could share his experiences with us to encourage others to apply.

Applications are due 27 January 2023 to HRC for consideration and selection by the Transportation School office.

We’ll continue to highlight other great programs and opportunities available to our Spearhead Soldiers through our lighthearted video series, Coffee with the CoT!

We are truly excited to see the advancements in the Army’s watercraft fleet as we continue to modernize and move forward into a new era.

As we move into the next stage of operational testing for the Maneuver Support Vessel - Light (MSV-L), we take a huge leap in capabilities to execute expeditionary logistics support that can be and will be seen on the battlefield of tomorrow!

Yesterday, Oct. 10, the Maneuver Support Vessel (Light) launched into the Columbia River, Vancouver, Washington.

After two years of construction, VIGOR completed the assembly of the MSV(L) prototype in its high tech aluminum fabrication facility. With success of the launch, the vessel will now go into a series of builder trials and then transition to the Army for operational testing in 2023.

Nothing Happens Until Something Moves!

WELCOME TO AMERICA AGAIN
Colonel Helwig:

My name is Michael Lubinski and I am the Store Leader of the Kwik Trip Travel Center #202 in Plover, WI. September 9th through the 16th is National Truck Drivers Appreciation Week. We plan on having our 2nd annual celebration at our store in Plover. We have prize baskets, giveaways, specials, coupons etc. for the truckers. We also held an Extremely successful old car cruise in last year.

This year we are planning on an Emergency Vehicle display on Tuesday the 11th, a Big Rig display on Wednesday the 12th, another old car show on Thursday and on Friday a Motorcycle/ATV/UTV display. What I am most excited for however, is on Saturday when we would like to display military vehicles. Many of our nation’s truck drivers are former military and they would love the ability to reminisce and see old equipment and meet other truckers and veterans and members of the military.

I was also wondering if we could have an autographed picture to hang up in our Driver Lounge and some to give a-way during our event.

We would like to invite you to bring down some of your equipment to showcase at our show if at all possible. This is our first year doing the military vehicle display and I am not all sure who I can contact so any other sources or ideas would be extremely helpful.

If you have any questions please feel free to reply to this email or call myself or Dave Trickle at the Kwik Trip Truck stop in Plover 715-344-7252.

Thank you,

Michael Lubinski
