My name is Emily; I have been teaching lessons for 5 years now and have been a lifeguard for 7. I was once a lifeguard in the area and have been a lifeguard at Myrtle beach on the beach and worked at many hotel pools at Myrtle Beach. I have coached different sports and am now a swim coach for Leroy Springs in the winter and Tega Cay Breakers in the summer for swim team. I teach ages 8month olds al

l the way to 80 year old adults. I have also worked with special needs children in the water. If you’re looking for beginner swimming lessons, stroke clinics, or to even just help get you more comfortable in the water, I have done it all. I promise you won’t shock me when it comes to the pool and I never want you to feel embarrassed in the water around me. My job is to help you as best as I can with what you want to accomplish. It is never too early or late in life to learn how to swim. I do private lessons, group lessons, and semi-private lessons. I have many pools I teach at and will come to home and neighborhood pools. I am very confident in what I do and am very comfortable in the water. My goal is to make the parents comfortable with their child or children in or around the water. Everyone can learn how to swim, it may take some more time than others and that’s ok. I enjoy swimming and want to make sure others do to. For all of my adults wanting to learn it is never too late.

Its never to early to learn how to swim.
I had my daughter go under water at 6 month old. I sat her on the sit of the pool at 8 months old to start the jump in/ go under part of swimming. I did not take her in for many months just because of my schedule. When she was 17 months old she was blowing bubbles in the water. She would walk in the water with help at 18 months. Now that she is 2 years old I take her every Saturday for an hour. We always go to the big pool first she jumps right in, body positioning is correct, she will put her own face in if asked or if she needs to swim to you. Its about coming in every week and showing her no fear of the water. I do not let her in the little pools to much because I want her to be comfortable swimming not walking in water. Madison will kick and use her arms while in the pool. No she can not come up for air or swim all the way but what 2 year old can.
Parents its up to you to get them to the pool. Lessons are great and yes Id love for you to book them with me. Make it a great time in the water lets laugh splash and yes always get our face wet. If water gets in their eyes or nose please dont use a towel ask them to wipe it off. No kind of arm bands. The pool is a fun place to be lets make sure our kids are safe and having fun

Coach Emily has become a positive influence on our daughter, Morgan, who has a neurological speech disorder. Morgan does not have the physical abilities of typical children in the pool. Despite Morgan's disabilities, Coach Emily has always treated Morgan like any other member of the swim team. She has gone out of her way to accommodate Morgan and help her gain self-confidence. A year ago, Morgan could not swim independently, and now she is getting stronger and faster everyday. Thank you Coach Emily for all that you do!

My son, Jackson, began swim lessons with Emily over a year ago. She quickly won him over! Her patience and gentle demeanor helped him feel comfortable with her and even more in the water. I remember watching Emily with him during those first sessions, and she truly made learning to swim better a lot of fun for Jackson. He developed so much more confidence in the water, and she was able to convince him to try about anything in the water. We will continue going back to her for all three of our children, because her techniques and overall love for the children is a gift and is amazing!

I had the pleasure of working with Emily this summer. She is a wonderful instructor and a very patient and kind person. I came to her very fearful of the water. I took eight lessons and I was able to swim the entire length of the pool by the sixth lesson. On the first day she asked me what were my goals for the summer. My response was to swim the entire length of the pool. Her methods and patience taught me how to have confidence that I could do it. As I waited for my turn for my lessons, I watched her with the kids. Her approach with them were very impressive. I observed them doing so well and the parent on the sideline seems very pleased. I have been having some problems with my back and legs and is now under the Doctor’s care. As soon as I am better, I plan to return for more lessons and it is very exciting. She makes them exciting.
