In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, A Co 3-1 AHB has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. As a result, certain posts have been removed, are in a process of being removed, or modified to maintain consistency with federal guidance and uphold the integrity of our official communication channels. It’s been a busy day for the Black Cats!

Tonight we hailed and farewelled a few incredibly important members of our team.

Tonight we welcomed in CPT Nicholas Reitmeier as the incoming commander of Alpha Company. We’re glad to have you on the team, sir! We know you’ll do well leading the company!

We farewelled CW2 Cruz as she gets ready to PCS and begin the next chapter in her journey. Thank you for all your hard work and everything you did for the Black Cats, ma’am!

And lastly we farewelled CPT Christian Ramos as the outgoing commander. Thank you for everything you’ve done for the Black Cats! The impact you’ve had on the company cannot be put into words and your presence will be sorely missed!

Today the Black Cats visited the KGB Museum in Riga, Latvia.

Latvia was occupied by the Soviet Union from 1940-1991. Pictured is one of the KGB (Russian FBI/CIA) prisons where over 35,000 prisoners were kept and over 200 people were killed during Russia’s occupation.

Visiting these sites is an important reminder as to why our presence overseas is so crucial.
