There is no better way to start the day than by saying "thank you" to the people who watch over us. Yesterday, I had the honor of hosting the Fort Worth Police Department’s West Command and the Mounted Patrol for breakfast.

Beyond the coffee and great conversation, it’s always a pleasure to thank them for their service by sharing a meal.

We often take our safety for granted, but it’s the leadership and dedication of these individuals that make it possible.

The City of Fort Worth is proud to be the only U.S. city to officially recognize the historic legacy of the Cowgirl, the Charra, and the Escaramuza!

Today, we honored three trailblazing women in Charrería and invested in the sport's future by awarding $2,000 grants to 5 teams and presenting National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame first-ever collegiate scholarship.

These women train and compete as elite athletes, and today were recognized for the incredible skill and discipline they bring to the arena.

Congratulations to The Cowgirl honorees for keeping this beautiful tradition alive!

Wow, what an incredible weekend for the 48th The Cowtown Marathon! It was truly inspiring to see 29,000 participants from all 50 states and 9 different countries come together for such a memorable event.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, including Baylor Scott & White Health, NBC DFW, Autobahn BMW Fort Worth, Miller Lite, and PNC, for their invaluable support. Your contributions made this event possible and helped create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

This year's marathon was filled with countless inspiring stories, each a testament to the power of human resilience and determination. We were particularly moved by Nana Banana, a 90-year-old woman who finished the 10k after being hit by a car in June. Her strength and spirit are an inspiration to us all! We also heard stories from cancer survivors and first responders who shared their experiences and motivated others.

The Cowtown Marathon is more than just a race; it's a celebration of Fort Worth, dedication, and the human spirit. We are so proud to be part of this tradition and look forward to many more years of running and inspiration!

The Rotary Club of Fort Worth South was proud to dedicate their meeting this week to the First Responders who serve our city with courage and compassion.

These professionals demonstrate resilience, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to public safety. Recognizing their hard work is a small token of our immense appreciation.

It was an honor to be an invited guest and celebrate the selfless service of these amazing members of the Fort Worth Fire Department and Fort Worth Police Department.

There is a unique joy that comes with getting a new pair of running shoes—it feels like anything is possible. Today, we brought that possibility to the students of The Cowtown Marathon C.A.L.F. Program.

We gathered at the Betsy Price Community Center—joined by Betsy Price herself!—to ensure these young athletes have the proper equipment to succeed.

Whether it’s a kid’s first pair of proper running shoes or they are a program veteran, the joy on their faces is the same. There is so much potential in a fresh pair of sneakers!

Had the absolute best time catching up with Former Mayor Betsy Price and Vince Sims on NBC DFW 5’s Talk Street about the upcoming The Cowtown Marathon weekend starting on February 28th.

TCU held a fantastic reception in Fort Worth as we kick off the countdown to the Aer Lingus College Football Classic! 🏈🇮🇪🇺🇸

It was a true honor to take part in welcoming a delegation from Ireland, including Minister of State for International Development, Neale Richmond, and Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ray McAdam.

The excitement was electric as we celebrated the strong ties between Fort Worth, TCU, and Ireland. Dublin is ready for the Horned Frogs!
