We are BEYOND excited to welcome our first equestrian event back today! The Big D Charity Horse Show has begun!
Did you hear the news #FortWorth?!? The second phase of Governor Abbott’s “Open Texas” plan will allow us to begin hosting equestrian events tomorrow (May 22nd) with restricted occupancy levels.
Our team has already implemented a variety of rigorous health and safety measures, and will be ready to welcome the Big D Charity Horse Show and the Cinch RSNC XIII World Finals to Will Rogers in June!
We look forward to future updates and new “Open Texas” phases (down the road) that will allow us to host more of our events once deemed safe…but this is a great start!
For details and a full list of guidelines about the Governor’s Executive Order visit www.gov.texas.gov/opentexas.

Y'all. ❤️ Stay. ❤️ Home.
This morning the City of Fort Worth issued an order to "Stay At Home - Work Safe." The order goes into effect tonight at 11:59 p.m. and stays in place until April 3rd. Our facility is closed to the public at this time.
Please stay home, y'all. It's more important than ever to show our solidarity as a community and keep each other safe.
We are saddened by the reach and effect the COVID-19 crisis is having on our community, friends and partners and will support and assist everyone through this trying time. Fort Worth City Hall (City of Fort Worth) National Cutting Horse Association
NCHA KIT KAT SUGAR SUPER STAKES IS POSTPONED
In compliance with the City of Fort Worth, The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) has postponed the upcoming Kit Kat Sugar 2020 NCHA Super Stakes due to the current situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Association’s second leg of the Triple Crown was scheduled for March 24 through April 18 in Fort Worth, Texas.
“The safety and well-being of our members and guests is our highest priority,” Jay Winborn, NCHA Executive Director, said. “Although we are deeply saddened about having to postpone the show, we respect the decisions made by government and health officials.”
Mayor Betsy Price issued a state of emergency in Fort Worth, Texas due to Coronavirus (COVID 19) on Friday, March 13, 2020. NCHA has been in close contact with the City of Fort Worth during this process, and a meeting with city officials, Will Rogers Complex and the NCHA was held this morning at 10:00 AM where the decision to postpone was reached.
The NCHA is looking at alternative dates to hold the Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes, potentially this summer. An official statement on when the show will be rescheduled will be issued on Monday.
Following the City of Fort Worth’s Declaration of Public Health Emergency, all of our events with 250 people or more for the next seven day period have been cancelled effective 12:01am on March 14, 2020. This includes:
● Lone Star Gun Show
● Funky Finds Spring Fling
● Legacy Arabian 2020 Cowtown Classic
● DalWorth Appaloosa Spring Fever
● Tarrant Area Food Bank Empty Bowls
● Fort Worth Kennel Club Dog Show
● Horse O Rama
Our hearts and wishes go out to our community to stay safe and healthy!
We are sad to report that both the Lone Star Gun Shows and Funky Finds Spring Fling events have been cancelled for this weekend due to the recent mandate put in place by Mayor Price. We will continue to update our page with any additional updates on other events.
Texas Golden Gloves regional and state tournaments have been cancelled due to USA Boxing suspending all sanctioned events.
Unfortunately we will not be able to continue our Regional and State Tournament effective as of today March 12, 2020.
Due to USA BOXING cancelling.
USA Boxing Announces All Sanctioned Events Suspended Until March 31st
In light of recent developments with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and after extensive consultation with the USOPC (United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee), medical experts, legal counsel and Board of Directors President Chair, Tyson Lee, USA Boxing is suspending all sanctioned events through March 31st. This is a very difficult decision given we are in the midst of Golden Gloves tournaments and entering the qualification timeframe for the 2020 Junior Olympics; however USA Boxing’s greatest concern is for the health and safety of all boxers, coaches, officials and physicians.
USA Boxing will review as circumstances evolve and more information becomes available and provide an update to membership by the end of March.
All events will be able to reschedule their shows at later dates. USA Boxing will not accept any new sanctioned event requests through at least April 15th. Refunds will not be given at this time, but you may reschedule your show for a later date.
Clubs and Gyms may continue training, however, they should limit participation to boxers and coaches, and discourage folks who “want to watch” to help reduce the risk of spreading the Coronavirus.
As a reminder, please remember these helpful instructions for your local clubs and gyms.
1. If sick, please stay home
2. Clean gym equipment space thoroughly and often
3. Wash hands often with warm soapy water for 20 seconds
4. Avoid shaking hands, and try not to touch the face, eyes, or nose
5. Follow good personal hygiene after every boxing practice, including showering with soap and water and washing uniforms after use.
Coronavirus Response Plan: The coronavirus type COVID-19 is an ongoing, evolving public health issue. According to the CDC, state and local officials, risk levels to the American public and the general public in the City of Fort Worth remain low.
We are closely monitoring developments and will take immediate action where needed, following guidance from Tarrant County Public Health, the City of Fort Worth Office of Emergency Management and the Texas Department of State Health Services. We urge visitors traveling to and through the region to find and follow the latest guidelines from public health experts regarding prevention and preparedness measures.
Our facility continues to implement preparedness and precautionary efforts to ensure the health and well-being of all guests and employees. At this time all guests and employees are urged to continue their preventative measures outlined on our response plan.
