Our sincerest apologies. We are aware that the audio on the Live video is difficult to hear. Please read the important message County Clerk Mary Louise Nicholson recorded about today's blood drive.

Good morning Tarrant County, I'm Mary Louise Nicholson your County Clerk and I'm reporting live from the Tarrant County Plaza building in downtown Fort Worth where we are hosting a blood drive with Carter BloodCare.

Local hospitals are moving towards opening at full capacity and part of that criteria is having ample blood supply.

So, my office, Judge Whitley's office and all of the Tarrant County departments were asked to sign up and give blood today. With 64 slots available, I would like to thank the 25 team members, and their spouses who decided today or sometime during June they would roll up their sleeves and give blood.

This is a critical time for our hospitals and I would like to ask and encourage you to join Tarrant County by supporting our local hospitals and first responders across this county by signing up at your local Carter BloodCare office. Thanks for checking in and have a great day.

OUR TEAM ROCKS!!

Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people. And we have the best team! A major component of why the County Clerk's office never stopped providing essential government services during this pandemic is because our team never stopped working. We are so proud to work with individuals who truly believe in the mission. To honor and recognize their commitment to Tarrant County, County Clerk Mary Louise Nicholson presented each team member with a certificate of appreciation. Thank you all for your service!

Few of you will go through life without calling on them for copies of birth certificates and marriage licenses, deeds to homes and other property as well as oil and gas lease records, death certificates, powers of attorney, passport applications and a multitude of other personal and business documents.

Beyond recording life’s major events and transactions in Texas’ third most populous county, we provide administrative support to 10 County Criminal Misdemeanor Courts, 3 County Courts at Law, and 2 County Probate Courts.

As the county’s second largest source of funds, we collect approximately $39 million in fines and fees, manage over $17 million in cash bonds, and maintain over 1,000 trust accounts with invested amounts over $25 million at the direction of our Civil and Probate Courts.

As a measure of efficiency, 41 cities, including Fort Worth, have turned over their Vital Records to our office saving taxpayer money. Keeping costs in check is the constant challenge of safeguarding millions of documents and adding a half million more every year.

We record approximately 290,000 Real Property Documents (Plats, Deeds, and Liens) annually, 76% of which come in electronically generating more than $10 million in business transactions.

Advancing technology, employee teamwork and professional management are the keys to improving quality and service.

Tarrant County is proud to be one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in Texas, and the County Clerk’s office will continue to strive to deliver the customer service you deserve. You can let us know how our office is doing by visiting our webpage at countyclerk.tarrantcounty.com.
