On May 1, more than 30 SMOC employees spent a few hours outside in the sunshine picking up trash from downtown Framingham and surrounding areas in honor of Earth Day. Together, they filled 36 contractor bags with trash, helping make our community cleaner.

Thank you to Keep Framingham Beautiful for their partnership and to The Home Depot for donating many of our supplies for this effort!

SMOC’s Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) provides assistance with heating bills to eligible households in 37 communities. The program operates annually from Nov. 1–April 30 and is designed to help low-income people afford the cost of heat in the winter months. Households receiving HEAP assistance are also eligible for additional resources such as Weatherization Services and the Appliance Management Program.
