Happy President’s Day!

Frankenmuth, at one time had a President… a Village President. This practice started in 1904, when Frankenmuth became a Village. Peter Schluckbier was elected as the first Village President.
The practice of electing a Village President ended as the Village became a City in 1959.
As they say…”now you know the rest of the story.”
