🕷️💚 Lyme Disease Awareness Month 💚🕷️

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness about tick-borne illnesses and how to protect yourself and your family while enjoying the outdoors.

Tips to help prevent Lyme disease:
✅ Use insect repellent
✅ Wear long sleeves and pants in wooded or grassy areas
✅ Check for ticks after spending time outside
✅ Shower soon after outdoor activities
✅ Remove ticks promptly and properly

Early detection is important. Symptoms may include fever, fatigue, headache, and a bullseye-shaped rash. If you think you may have been bitten by a tick, contact your healthcare provider.

Stay aware, stay protected, and enjoy the outdoors safely!

🌍🍽️ World Hunger Day 🍽️🌍

Today we recognize World Hunger Day and the millions of people around the world who face food insecurity every day. Hunger affects children, families, and communities — but together, we can help make a difference.

Ways to help:
🥫 Donate food or funds to local food pantries
🤝 Volunteer in your community
🌱 Support programs that fight hunger and improve nutrition
📢 Raise awareness about food insecurity

Everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious food. Small acts of kindness can create lasting change.

Together, we can work toward a world where no one goes hungry.

🇺🇸☀️ Memorial Day Weekend Pool Safety ☀️🇺🇸

As families kick off summer and spend time around the water, remember that pool safety starts before anyone jumps in!

👀 Always supervise children near water
🛟 Keep life jackets and rescue equipment nearby
🚪 Use fences and locked gates around pools
📱 Put phones down and stay alert
🎨 Choose bright-colored swimsuits that are easier to see underwater

Did you know? Dark blue, black, and dark-colored swimsuits can be difficult to spot underwater, especially in lakes or crowded pools. Bright neon colors are the easiest to see!

Have fun, stay cool, and make safety part of your Memorial Day weekend plans.
