Officials here celebrated the 25th anniversary of the opening of the installation’s award-winning aquatic park known as “Frog Falls.”
Frog Falls is a membership-only facility open to Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard Military Personnel and their dependents; Picatinny Civilian Employees and their dependents, Contractors working on Picatinny, as well as the General Public.
Operating Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends, the water park features more than 520,000 gallons of water adventures and offers two high-velocity slides, six 25-meter lap pools, a zero-depth entry leisure pool, a lazy river, and a child activity pool.
Since opening in 2000, Frog Falls has welcomed more than one million visitors to the park.

The U.S. Army’s JPEO Armaments and Ammunition joined Perpetua Resources Inc. to kick off the Stibnite Gold Project in central Idaho. The project seeks to redevelop an abandoned mine site in Stibnite for gold and other materials. One of the key materials resulting from the gold mining operation is antimony sulfide, a critical component used in ammunition production. The U.S. previously obtained antimony sulfide from foreign sources until 2021 when that supply ended.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States Europe, Africa and Central Commands areas of responsibilities. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
