The Golden Mile is the heart of District 2 and Frederick's most diverse and dynamic corridor. The City is updating its Small Area Plan for the area, and your voice needs to be part of it.

Take the community survey and tell planners what matters to you. If you want to go deeper, apply to serve on the Steering Committee and help shape this plan from the inside.
Both the survey and the Steering Committee interest form close September 18

One of the things that makes our city so amazing is our diversity. Today Council Member Peter Brehm and I were joined by Mayor O'Connor in celebrating Indonesia Day on The Creek. It is always an honor to take part in celebrating all the different cultures customs and food that make up our great city.

Peter Brehm and I had the honor of representing The City of Frederick at the opening of the Asian American Center's new Community Room. This space is a much needed addition to the West Side of Frederick and District 2. A place for groups to meet, families to celebrate, community to be built.

Thank you to Elizabeth Chung and everyone at AACF for inviting us and for making this amazing space happen.

It was great to ride on the all new 15 connector and the new route for the 10 connector this morning with Transit Services of Frederick County staff. Shorter intervals to the route 40 area will make it easier for folks in District 2 to get around town. Adding more service in the Ballenger Creek area will make it more convenient for residents to get to where they need to go.
