A SALUTE TO OUR VETERANS.

Among the many yearly traditions in the Borough of Freehold, the St Rose of Lima Schools is second to none with it’s Veterans Day drive thru celebration. Freehold Borough Police Officers Steve Ambrosino and Ian Crawford joined the many veterans for this great honor, while also having the opportunity to have a meet and greet with students.

11/09/2023

St. Rose of Lima School is once again honoring all US Military Veterans and their spouses at their Drive-through Celebration on Friday, November 10th. (Rain Date Friday, November 17th) This is always a great way for the students and faculty to show their appreciation to our men and women who have served our country. If you are Veteran and in the area that day, take a few moments to drive through, be recognized and let the children honor you

Chief Craig Dispenza and the entire Freehold Borough Police Department send our deepest condolences and sympathies to the Smith family during this difficult time. The passing of LeRoy J. Smith, forever known as “Smitty” has left a void in the hearts of the Freehold Borough Police Department. LeRoy worked for years at the police department as a maintenance worker before becoming a long term crossing guard. LeRoy was more than a coworker, he was a beloved friend to all the officers and staff at the PD, and was always ready and willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with the men and women in blue. LeRoy, you will be forever missed.

This past weekend, the Freehold Borough Police Department conducted a T&U Visa seminar along with our law enforcement and community partners.

The purpose of the outreach is to provide information to persons who lack legal immigration status in the United States, who are victims of certain qualifying crimes on the process of obtaining a T or U Visa. This process helps to provide victims with a sense of security and the ability to assist with law enforcement and prosecutorial efforts.

For more information you can go to our departments web page and scroll down to T&U Visa.

Patrolman Ambrosino was back at it this past Sunday hitting the main stage with Turnstyles at Octoberfest. We’re not positive, but Summer of 69 may be the only song that he plays. Thanks to Rob and the members of Turnstyles for the community policing collaboration.
