Duval County Ranch

Duval County Ranch Duval County Ranch is a cattle and hunting ranch located in south Texas. Duval County Ranch is a working cattle and hunting ranch.

The DCR has a very intense wildlife management plan that has produces many large whitetail. The ranch was a recipient of the Lone Star Land Steward award given out by Texas Parks and Wildlife in 2010.

New World Screwworm continues to spread across Texas. We are sharing this reference guide to help fellow landowners, cattle producers, and wildlife managers recognize the signs early and respond appropriately.

Please take a moment to review the information below, including common entry points, warning signs, and appropriate steps to take if NWS is suspected. Early detection and prompt reporting remain the most effective tools in limiting the spread of NWS.

The screwworm is here. It's time to take action to protect our deer herd. Everyone needs to educate themselves on the threat, and what can be done to protect our deer.
