🌿 City Maintenance Update 🌿
The Water Reclamation Center will be spraying the floodwall, reservoir, and other areas across the city during May and June (weather permitting).

Please give crews space to safely complete their work when you see them in your area.

This Saturday, join us for a River Clean-Up Day in Ward 1 and meet visiting fishermen!

πŸ“ Meet behind 501 Bidwell. Ample parking is available.

We invite volunteers to spend an hour with us to help clean up our local green space along the banks of the Sandusky River. Every little bit helps to keep our community safe and beautiful for everyone to enjoy. At the first clean-up, we had about 20 volunteers and collected roughly 10 contractor bags worth of trash!

Gloves, bags, and water will be provided. Afterward, we'll head up to The Strand Theater to ensure we're hydrated.

It was a beautiful Saturday for the first river clean up of the season. We collected several contractor bags of refuse along the banks of the Sandusky River. A huge thank you to the neighborhood for prompting this event in conjunction with The City of Fremont Ohio and those who came out to show some love for our community. Special shout outs to: Daniel Burket for Congress OH-5, Tammy Calhoun, Sandusky County Democratic Party and Kurtis Kuhl for Sandusky County Commissioner for lending their time and heart to our treasured waterway.

I look forward to the next clean up on May 2 from 11:00-12:00!

March 5th's Council meeting was incredibly informative. The City of Fremont Ohio and the mayor's office walked through the proposed budget and answered questions. There are several projects proposed for our Ward 1 this year, massive road and sewer improvements.

Council is expected to vote on the budget this week. If you have some time to watch, the meeting was recorded in three parts:
