When we say "boots on the ground" is a thing in Fremont and Steuben County, we mean it!
When our neighbors to the north experienced a devastating tornado last night, members of our fire department and the Steuben County Underwater Rescue and Recovery Team deployed to assist in the recovery effort.
We take care of our neighbors around here, and that's one of the things I love about Fremont. When our neighbors are in need, we're there.
Praying for the Union City community as the cleanup is ongoing.
🚨 SCURRT Deployment – Branch County, MI 🚨
Members of the Steuben County Underwater Rescue & Recovery Team (SCURRT) are deploying as part of a regional strike team to Branch County, Michigan to assist with search operations in a lake impacted by yesterday’s devastating tornado.
Our team will be working alongside multiple public safety agencies to assist in locating potential victims and supporting recovery efforts in the affected area. These operations are complex and emotionally difficult, but they are an important part of helping communities in their time of need.
Please keep the victims, their families, and all of the first responders and search teams involved in your thoughts and prayers as these efforts continue.
We will provide updates as appropriate.
