Congratulations to our Fridley Fire Explorers! 🏆

Congratulations to the Fridley Fire Explorers for taking 3rd place at the Fire Explorers Competition during the Governor's Fire Prevention Day at the State Fair!

Fire Explorers from around the state competed in various firefighter skill and knowledge based competitions and show their mastery of these essential fire service tasks.

A great way to end the year for our Explorers who dedicated many hours of practice and hard work. Well done!

The first day of school for new students in grades 6-8, 5th grade, 9th and 12th grade, and all VISTA students is September 1.

The first day for elementary, remaining middle school, and high school students is September 2.

Join us at Fridley Civic Campus on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 10:30 a.m., for Our Leaders are Readers with Mayor Dave Ostwald.

The mayor will read a story to the kids, then participants will get a tour of the City Council Chambers, see what it's like to hold a meeting and have a mock election!
