Overview
A human resources specialist is responsible for providing support that affects Soldiers’ overall welfare and well-being while assisting leaders with keeping Soldiers combat-ready and effective.
Job Duties
Assist on all human resource support matters
Oversight of all strength management and strength distribution actions
Responsible for the readiness, health and welfare of all Soldiers.
Postal and personnel accountability support
Maintain emergency notification data
Requirements
Those who want to serve must first take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, a series of tests that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.
Training
Job training for human resources specialist begins with 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and nine weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instructions on human resource systems. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.

Additional training opportunities will be available based on the type of unit you are assigned to, including (but not limited to) postal operations, airborne or air assault school.

Interview witnesses, victims and suspects in investigations
Crime scene security and processing
Arrest and charge criminal suspects
Requirements

Training
Job training for military police requires 20 weeks of One Station Unit Training and on-the-job instruction in police methods. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and in the field.

Some of the skills you’ll learn are:
Basic warrior skills and use of fi****ms
Military/civil laws and jurisdiction
Investigating and collecting evidence
Traffic and crowd control
Arrest and restraint of suspects
Helpful Skills
Interest in law enforcement
Ability to make quick decisions
Remain calm under heavy duress
Ability to interact well with people

Overview
The combat medic specialist is primarily responsible for providing emergency medical treatment at point of wounding on the battlefield, limited primary care, and health protection and evacuation from a point of injury or illness.

Job Duties
Administer emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties
Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment
Instruct Soldier's on Combat Lifesaver/First Responder training course
Manage Soldier's medical readiness, medical supplies and equipment

Training
Job training for a combat medic specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including practice in-patient care.

Patient-care techniques
Emergency medical techniques
Advanced medical care
Plaster-casting techniques
