Frisco’s last few days have been some for the record books. Saturday, we hosted the Global War of Terror’s Tribute Wall for the 25th anniversary of the War starting. That evening the DFW Gujarati Samaj hosted a Navratri Garba with thousands coming out to dance and celebrate.
Sunday was the Crème de la Crème art contest. I got to be a guest judge for an art piece that spoke to me and gave it to “Such Great Heights”, a piece of a young man looking out into the world. The other judge with a PHD and art background selected Noah’s Ark as the best in show, an incredible piece! You can see the entire exhibition for free at the Discovery Center (next to the library).
Tuesday we officially open the highly anticipated 4th Street Plaza in the Rail District. There’s events for the next few days celebrating so come check it out and visit our local businesses in downtown.
And this morning was the Mayor’s Breakfast. If you want to be blessed, get to know Kevin and Shondale Gray, the organizers. Between their powerful words, the incredible worship team, and everyone who prayed for Frisco, I started my day fully lifted up.
Counting my blessings to live in such an incredible community. Proud to be a Frisconian!
