Platinum Charities is a 501c3 that was founded in 2010. Since the beginning, PC host free All-Pro Skills Football Camps each year with an average of 300 adolescents per camp in attendance. Some of the young men who have gone through PC’s All-Pro Football Skills Camp; Shelton Gibson of West Virginia, Jamal Adams of LSU, Tony Brown of Univ. of Alabama, De’Niro Laster of Univ. of Kentucky, and many others, have gone on to have successful collegiate football careers, incredible opportunities to gain an education., and some have gone on to the NFL. With the continued support of USA Football, NFL PLAY 60, NFLPA, NFL Alumni, and individual and corporate sponsors, PC looks forward to continuing hosting free camps and empowering these young men to be the best they can be on and off the field.
In 2012 Platinum Charities created a scholarship program for high school seniors and college students who are in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year. Since its creation, PC has distributed over $25,000.00 in scholarships to students in underserved communities.
For the past two years, PC has completed home renovations in the Cleveland area for its domestic violence initiative: Put Yourself In Her Shoes, bring an end to abuse (PYIHS). This year PC is hoping to expand in the Dallas/Fort Worth and New England areas with an end goal to have homes in all 32 NFL cities.
Always progressing, in 2020, PC started a literacy initiative called All-Star Readers. The program encourages and inspires grades 1st through 5th to achieve reading growth.
