The Century Flyer train first ran at Craterville Park near Cache in 1950. Then it moved to new Craterville Park near Quartz Mountain State Park in 1957. For nearly 60 years it has been owned, refurbished and operated by the Hydro Free Fair. If ever there has been a “little train that could” this is it. 🤠

This is the route the train carrying the Buffalo and grandad Frank S Rush from Fordham Station in NYC to Cache Oklahoma arriving on Wednesday October 16, 1907. Then they were transported by mule and horse drawn wagons to headquarters in the Wichita Mountains.

Vickie and I had a ton of fun on our Wichita Mountain Fun book signing tour in Oklahoma. We made 4 stops and presentations at the Kiowa County Museum in Hobart,Museum of the Western Prairie and the Altus Library in Altus and the Old Greer County Museum in Mangum.
