EASTLAND CREEK R&R is a secluded, old-fashioned hideaway cabin nestled in a magical canyon along Kachemak Bay near Homer, Alaska. Accessible only on foot, mountain bike, horseback or ATV along the beach at low tide, our cabin experience will take you back in time to a simpler way of life. Guests will have an unforgettable experience, dining on wild edible foods, cooked to perfection by your hostes
s. Fresh clams harvested from the cabin beach, wild veggies, berries and mushrooms. Fresh caught salmon and wild game are also available in season. Our meals are cooked on an antique wood cookstove
and the outdoor grill. Our running water comes from the
nearby creek - where we run to get it....
We have a sun-shower available
and a state of the art outdoor 'privy'. On our way to the cabin you can visit
the historic Kilcher Homestead on a guided tour. Sightings of moose, bears, coyotes, sea otters, seals,
eagles and other wildlife are not uncommon. Spend the day hiking, beach combing, kayaking
or exploring canyons and waterfalls. When your day is done, take a soak in our unique hot tub,
you will fall asleep to the soothing
sound of the ocean and the summer songbirds.
