OZARK COUNTY MEET THE CANDIDATES NIGHT - The Center in Gainesville is hosting a Meet-the-Candidates night beginning at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday, July 30.
All candidates who will appear on the local ballot are invited to come and participate. Connie Davidson, who is helping to organize the event on behalf of The Center, said that she has personally invited all contested local candidates on the ballot including Jim Britt, Randy Riffey and John Turner, who are running for Ozark County Presiding Commissioner, as well as Lee Pipkins, Kierstan Snider and Marsha Stiles, who are running for Ozark County Prosecuting Attorney.
Although Davidson said they may not get a formal phone call invitation, other local candidates who are on the ballot but unopposed in the Primary Election are also invited to attend and participate.
Organizers say that the gathering will offer opportunities for residents to chat one-on-one with the candidates. A short question and answer session will also be held; although, there will be no formal debate. Refreshments will be provided.
For more information, contact Connie Davidson at 417-989-0420 or [email protected]. The Center is located at 516 County Road 800 in Gainesville, off Highway 5, just north of The Antler Pizza & Package store.
