Shawangunk Ridge Trails

Shawangunk Ridge Trails Shawangunk Ridge Trails is a forum to share experiences in the Shawangunk Mountains, ranging from High Point State Park in NJ all the way to Rosendale, NY

The Shawangunk Mountains reach 70 miles from High Point State Park in New York all the way to Rosendale, New York. This unique environment has been identified by the Nature Conservancy as "one of the Earth's last great places." A greenway across the mountains is protected by one of New York's most popular parks, Minnewaska State Park Preserve, a number of state forests managed by the Department of

Environmental Conservation, and the Mohonk Preserve, which is New York's largest not-for-profit member-supported nature preserve. Many of the trails in the Shawangunks, including the 70-mile Shawangunk Ridge Trail, are maintained by volunteers of the NY-NJ Trail Conference. To volunteer please send us a message.
