Gatlinburg Community Police Programs conduct activities for the children and citizens of Gatlinburg, the local community, as well as visitors to this area. conducts several activities each year in order to promote good-will between the Gatlinburg community and the police officers. has an annual Easter Egg Hunt which consists of a traditional egg hunt, lunch, and many prizes for the children. and e

mployees of the Gatlinburg Police Department have also provided Christmas gifts and a traditional Christmas meal to local children and their families each December for the past six years. These families may be suffering from a financial hardship and G.C.OPP helps them by providing Christmas gifts for their children. assists the Gatlinburg Police Department in providing a week-long summertime Kids' Camp Program to local area children whose family may not be able to afford a traditional family vacation. provides Teddy Bears to distressed children who come into contact with our police officers, such as being involved in an automobile accident, a domestic or child abuse situation, or having a parent in police custody. also provides emergency assistance to stranded visitors, or to citizens and area families in need.
