A little rain is nothing compared to what was given by the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom.

Today was about showing up, standing together, and walking in their honor.

We are incredibly proud of our members, alongside Northville and Water Witch, for coming together to pay our respects this Memorial Day.

On Monday, 3rd Generation Firefighter James Galbraith III spent part of his day off helping get our trucks parade-ready.

Tonight, Life Member Don Demers, with more than 30 years of dedicated service, worked alongside 3rd Generation Firefighter and Assistant Chief Doug Leach, Firefighter and Financial Secretary Kristen Leach, while teaching the next generation what the fire service is all about.

Whether itโ€™s day or night, we come together as brothers and sisters to get the work done. Along the way come the conversations, stories, laughs, traditions, and friendships that make the fire service more than just responding to calls.

Our department is always looking for dedicated individuals who want to serve their community through emergency response, training, teamwork, and tradition.

As parade season kicks off, our members are getting the trucks parade-ready today. Cleaning and detailing the apparatus is a long-standing fire service tradition and a reflection of the pride we take in caring for our equipment and serving our community.

Today marked the first of four work sessions dedicated to restoring our trucks after a long winter and getting them ready for the season ahead.
