Genesee Valley Indivisible One of thousands of local Indivisible groups, we are based in the Genesee Valley. Our mission is to rebuild our democracy and defeat the Trump agenda.

Our chapter was formed in March of 2025. We are a grassroots group of residents of the Genesee Valley in Western New York, based in Geneseo, New York. We have come together to resist autocracy in our federal government and welcome anyone -- regardless of affiliation with any political party -- who would like to join this cause. Congratulations (?) to Rep. Claudia Tenney and her "Big Ugly Bill." Only she could manage to support legislation that contributed to the closing of a health care facility in her own district. Wonder what hospital is next? It's past time to elect someone who actually cares about more than just photo-ops. Vote Ellman for Congress

Rochester Regional Health announced this week the Marshall Birthing Center at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital in Newark will close next week. The Finger Lakes Times wants to hear from community members and health professional who are affected by this closure for an upcoming story. North Avon, NY, 8/29/26: GVI and the Geneseo Bridge Brigade participated in the Upstate Bannering Project. "Every honk shows us we're not alone." More than 40 groups from Western New York to the Hudson Valley and from the North Country to the Southern Tier stood up to encourage voters to let their elected official know that they're paying attention and will vote to preserve American democracy. As one participant noted: "Every honk shows us we're not alone."
