Pumpkin, the Newest Team Member at Camp Koinonia! 🧡
​We're proud of our partnership with Camp Koinonia and Conference Center, a community treasure we value deeply. For the past five months, we have been working hard to develop a relationship with Pumpkin, a feral cat our VP rescued and adopted to be the camp mouser.
​Pumpkin has decided to stick around, so we recently purchased her a heated outdoor house! She slowly warmed up to it, but now she has a safe, cozy space.
​Our business is all about community and giving back—even to our feline friends!

The I-90 and SR 528 interchange will have the following ramp closures over the next few weeks:

• On Monday, June 16, the I-90 eastbound entrance ramp will be closed for approximately one week.

• On Monday, June 23, the I-90 westbound exit ramp will be closed for approximately one week.

This work is finalizing the safety improvements that began in 2024. Detours will be posted.

Here is what we have going on in July and August!

The Cat Walk is on July 13th from 11am to 1pm. It is a self-paced Conneaut tour where participants visit homes or businesses featuring cats visible from windows, in outdoor enclosures, out on harnesses, etc. It’s a fun, casual way to enjoy the day, meet fellow cat lovers, and support a great cause.

Here’s how it works: you can purchase a $10 ticket to have your house/business on the map or a $5 ticket to purchase a map of all the locations. Pick up your map at Maddox and Friends Cat Rescue between 11:00am and 12:30pm on event day. You may start at any location on the map and move at your own pace. There is no set route, but the event does end at 1pm. You are also welcome to stop at the rescue to visit our cats any time during the event or until 5pm. Each map includes a QR code to vote for best decorated house/business and favorite cat. Both will receive a prize for winning in their category.

The HMPL Adoption Event is where we will bring all of our most social cats and kittens who are available for adoption to the Henderson Memorial Public Library. For those of you closer towards the Jefferson area, we are bringing the cats to you! We will have adoption applications and someone to review the applications on site in case a special kitty steals your heart. You are welcome to come to just visit the cats or learn more about the rescue as well!

Finally, we will have an information table at the Pymatuning Lake Festival. We will have photos of some of our available cats and merch. So for those of you unable to snag some merch before it was gone at the reverse raffle in March, now is your chance!
