Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event coming up on Saturday, May 16 in Dekalb - open to all Illinois residents! Pre-registration is required.

♻️ Don’t miss it — this event only happens once a year!
The DeKalb County Health Department is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Drive on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

📍 Location: DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport
(Enter from the east via County Farm Rd)
Safely dispose of your household hazardous waste and help keep our community clean and healthy.

Come recycle electronics, clothing and textile, books and shredded paper with us tomorrow at Peck Farm Park! The official event start time is 11am, but we will start our pop-up recycling collection at 9am.

TOMORROW! Join KDSWCD and other local "greenies" at Geneva's annual Earth Day Celebration at Peck Farm Park! Saturday, April 18, 11am - 1pm.

Kane County partnered with The Conservation Foundation to help bring more trees into residential neighborhoods. This program, funded by a Nicor Pillar grant, connects new homeowners with native trees and shrubs while supporting the county’s goal of increasing tree canopy. We still have trees left to give away!
