What will our Belknap County Delegation candidates do to help keep Winni clean? Make sure to ask them!

Thanks to the Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance for this fun way of getting the word out about keeping our lakes clean for swimming, boating, fishing and all our activities!

Did you know that District 7 (Alton/Barnstead) Rep. Paul Terry has taken campaign contributions from this group? And that he and and District 6 (Gilmanton/Gilford/Laconia Ward 2) Rep. Glen Aldrich voted to consider a constitutional amendment (Senate Bill CACR32) to have New Hampshire secede from the United States? And did you know that both of these extreme libertarians are running for re-election?

Belknap County can do better - much better - than these unpatriotic legislators.

It’s not a radical idea for New Hampshire to declare independence and leave the United States, said NH Exit’s Carla Gericke.

Citizens for Belknap believes that strong, properly-funded public schools are essential to our county economy. The New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute has issued this report, entitled "Why State Adequate Education Aid Varies by Community,"
https://nhfpi.org/resource/why-adequate-education-aid-varies-by-community/
which we find very helpful in explaining our state's methods for funding education. We'd recommend you share it with your candidates, and use this as the basis for questions when you speak with them.

A new analysis from NHFPI’s Ben Reynolds looks at adequate education aid and why it varies in New Hampshire by community.

Cyanobacteria isn't just a nuisance or health hazard to your pets, it's also a critical economic issue for Belknap County. Thanks to the Belknap County Conservation District for bringing this talk to our attention!

To quote this great letter,
"Belknap County stood out here for having by far the highest percentage of antisemite apologists than any other county. We had 4 out of 11 votes, or over 1/3. The next highest was Rockingham County, with 1/5.
Let’s vote out those who bring shame to us all.

To The Daily Sun,

Thank you, Mr. Littlefield, for your letter:
