The Outdoor Experience Club celebrated its first year as a GHS club with an unforgettable two-day trip to Mackinac Island! The trip started with a stop at the Mystery Spot for a tour, ziplining, and mini golf, followed by burgers and fries at Clyde’s. After an overnight in Mackinaw City, the group ferried to Mackinac Island, where members biked the 8-mile perimeter, hiked to scenic spots, and sampled famous fudge. Many students were visiting the island for the first time, and all would like to express their gratitude for the generous community support during our several fundraisers that made the trip possible. Thank you, community!

🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Last Day of School Bicycle Ride! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

This morning, Jones students kicked off the last day of school with their annual bicycle ride from Kids Kingdom to Jones. What started as a fun tradition continues to grow each year, with more students joining the ride and making great memories together.

A beautiful morning, lots of smiles, and a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another school year. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success!

Back in December, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students collaborated to create a beautiful beaded banner featuring the Jones Dragon mascot 🐉

Then in May, Cameron students each shared what they love about school by writing on purple paper circles 💜 These were brought together to create a large mural that truly represents the heart of our school.

Both projects were proudly presented at Tuesday’s assembly—what a great way to celebrate student creativity and what makes our school so special! 🎉

At Tuesday’s assembly, Cameron honored Cheryl, our incredible school secretary, with a very special gift as she prepares for retirement 💐

She was presented with a framed bouquet of flowers made from the fingerprints of all our students, along with the names of both current and former staff she has worked with over the years.

Thank you, Cheryl, for your dedication, kindness, and the countless ways you’ve supported our students, staff, and families. You are truly the heart of Cameron and will be greatly missed—congratulations on your retirement!
