Please dispose of your Beach lawn signs and stakes in an appropriate and timely manner. I'll get down the only three I put on public lands. Thanks. -- Beach

My appreciation and respect also goes out to the Fayette County WV Democrats, namely the Fayette County Democratic Executive Committee and countless volunteers who gave it their all for my fellow Fayette County Democratic nominees and me. And big hugs are due all my friends and family here and all across America who honored me with their flattery and encouragement. To all who contributed your invaluable time, talents -- and don't forget money -- I say I'm sorry to you -- and sorry FOR you -- for this result. This ends my candidacy, but not our efforts to keep improving and sustaining our own little corner of the world. Carry on!

After you (please) vote for Beach, please not leave the voting machine until you vote NO on these three amendments 1, 2, and 4. Three NO's won't take you but about 15 more seconds. Note if #1 passes, the Republican majority legislature could impeach and remove ALL duly elected Democrats, and they would not be allowed to appeal their cases to the courts! Whoa, whaaaat? Vote NO!

Vote NO on Amendments 1, 2, and 4 tomorrow.

Regarding Amendment 2, the town of Fayetteville finds that "the passage of Amendment 2 without a final, codified legislative plan that provides for alternate revenue sources for local governments could devastate and defund public safety and public education in Fayetteville and throughout West Virginia." Therefore, council said it "opposes the passage of Amendment 2 in order to further the safety and wellbeing of its residents and visitors."

The West Virginia Association of Counties and the County Commissioners Association of West Virginia also voted to oppose Amendment 2. The groups cited loss of authority over about $550 million in “dedicated, constitutionally-protected revenues” — and “handing that money to the Legislature.”

Vote NO on 2. (Please don't skip voting on that part of your ballot.)

Thank you New River Humane Society leader Aleah Denny for your support. Beach. Aleah's statement: The current county commissioners Allison Taylor, John Brenemen and Tom Louisos are the reason the New River Humane Society will no longer receive county funding and run the county shelter in Beckwith. They have also made multiple other decisions that will negatively impact the county. Let’s vote them out one by one! Beach Vickers is for the hard working people in the county. Please vote for Beach Vickers for County Commission! 💜🐾

This is Beach sending you my background and focuses.
BACKGROUND: Top of my class at Montgomery High. Dean’s List grad of Washington and Lee U. After college, chosen by our country to help represent the American people’s giving attitude as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan and South Korea. Back home in WV, public serving jobs as Montgomery Herald reporter; school-business partnership director, Charleston Regional Chamber of Commerce; and nature conservation education manager, Morris Creek Watershed. A professional actor in L.A. awhile, while also a proud union member in an accounting position for NBCUniversal. Now I live again in the old family homeplace in Montgomery and am a community event organizer and grant writer on the team at Smithers City Hall.
None of this makes me better or smarter than anybody. But if you can see how my education, public service, and a broad range of international experiences can be brought to bear on serving our beautiful Fayette County as commissioner, kindly consider voting for me.
FOCUS: education, fire, law enforcement, and EMT support, addiction programs, animals (what the HECK is up with the commission’s attitude against the animal shelter?), using local arts, crafts, and historic preservation to help DRIVE economic revitalization, and commission lack of transparency and accountability too complex to detail here. The county is FLUSH with money, but where is it and where is it going? I hope you agree as one Democrat with two other Republicans, I will be easy to outvote (although I hope we can find lots of agreements, too), but the commission needs someone ready and willing to respectfully QUESTION them about issues and decisions with which all of us might not agree. Those disagreements are not always being aired nowadays.
Thanks for your attention to my race for commissioner. Please vote Tues., Nov. 8!

If you haven't voted yet, please get out Tues. & elect Lacy Watson (D-WV) to represent us in Congress, if for no other reason than to help save my Social Security (and yours) because its continuance is publicly threatened by the Republicans. You don't have to prefer Dems or even Beach for Commissioner, but just vote Watts to and Social Security. Research it, it's true! Thanks!
