We all love history right? One of the lost historical pieces from Newport Township & the Glen Lyon area is the old patch town named Teasdale.

Unlike Concrete City in Nanticoke, Teasdale was eventually razed once the mines closed and history basically erased.

Fortunately, there's a great piece from Newport Community News from Winter 2009 to revisit this town, and a piece of nearby history that's worth a quick read! Feel free to share any other details you have on this little town in the comments!
