What a terrific honor this was to receive support from the Golden Isles Association of Realtors RPAC! Thank you! - David

Members of the GIAR RPAC Committee recently had the opportunity to meet with David Sweat, who is seeking re-election as Glynn County Commissioner for District 4!

As part of the committee’s candidate-review process, a questionnaire was sent to everyone running for the position. Their responses helped the committee learn more about each candidate and determine who most closely aligns with REALTOR® priorities, including protecting private property rights and supporting a strong local real estate industry.

Following this process, the committee submitted a funding request to the Georgia Association of REALTORS® through its RIAC grant program. All funding requests are subject to review and approval.

GIAR is proud to help keep the REALTOR® voice involved in the issues and decisions that affect our community!

Last night, the Glynn County Board of Commissioners had the privilege of honoring former Glynn County Police Chief William Robert “Bob” Pittman for nearly three decades of dedicated service to our country and community.

Chief Pittman served in the United States Air Force before beginning a distinguished career in local law enforcement, ultimately serving as Chief of the Glynn County Police Department from June 2002 until his retirement in December 2003.

Fittingly, the recognition came on his 83rd birthday, as the Board officially proclaimed August 20, 2026, as William Robert Pittman Day in Glynn County.

Chief Pittman, thank you for a lifetime of leadership, sacrifice and service. Your contributions helped make Glynn County a safer and stronger community, and the legacy you built continues to be felt today.

Please join us in thanking Chief Pittman and wishing him a very happy 83rd birthday! 💙
