The Farmer’s Market is opening soon! I hope you will support and encourage our vendors.

Gordo Farmers Market opening day will be on Friday, June 19th from 7am until Noon.

We are so happy to make this announcement. Please like, share and come shop so we can keep the vendors busy and happy. 😃

Attention Sugar Hill Residents…

We will begin a short project that will require us to shut down the road into and out of your subdivision. This work will begin Wednesday at 9:00am?

We will work as quickly as possible but please make plans accordingly.

Update on County Road 9 Water…

Shortly, water will be turned back on. You may experience discolored water. Please allow your water to run just a bit to clean it up.

ATTENTION COUNTY ROAD 9 water customers…

Some of you are being impacted by a water main break. You may be without water while repairs are made.

I regret this inconvenience but you got some very hard working folks doing a great job on making the repairs.

Splash Pad/A Fun Weekend….

When Mule Day begins to draw to a close, we invite you to go splash off at the Splash Pad. We plan to have it operational by 2:00pm (maybe even before that😉).

I hope you enjoyed some of the festivities offered over the past week.

I commend The Gordo Chamber of Commerce for an excellent Mule Day Event. Congrats to Drew Patterson for a successful weekend.

The summer reading program is in full swing and it’s a hit! Thank you Shelia Spencer and team for everything you do to serve our community through library services.

To the volunteers that are working behind the scenes to get our First Thursday on Main up and going, I am extremely appreciative. A special thanks to Dave Stoked for his work for the Co****le Tournament. I had no idea the intensity of this game. I appreciate all those that participated. Congrats to the winners. If you’d like to join others in being a part of sponsoring this night, please let me know.

To the employees that are working everyday to make this community better and provide many of the services that will go unnoticed by most, I commend you on an outstanding job.

I hope you have a safe weekend. Again, my hats off to those that worked hard to make this week a great success.
