DON’T MISS THIS….

On Thursday, our community will have the opportunity to join us in welcoming an exciting new business to our downtown.

Double Down Outfitters will cut the ribbon and open the doors. I’m excited to see what’s behind that paper. The pictures are creating a lot of interest and I’m beyond excited.

Join us at First Thursday on Main as the Town of Gordo and The Gordo Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes this business into our community.

The Ribbon will be cut at 6:00pm. We invite you to visit this business, meet the owner, and enjoy the work of this local craftsman.

We appreciate this investment in our town.

TJ’s Crawfish will be serving up some good food. You don’t want to miss them.

The Apple Crate will be bring your favorite apple treats. Have you tried them yet?

Hooptie Deluxe will be bringing our live music. They are always a crowd favorite.

Come on out support our downtown businesses, enjoy some music, eat some good food, and have a delicious apple treat to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Drop by City Hall and meet with Congresswoman Sewell’s team. I’ve got my list of projects to support Gordo ready to share with them. Thursday August 27, from 10-12.

Team Sewell will host mobile office hours in Pickens County on Thursday, August 27. Stop by Gordo City Hall to meet our staff and get assistance with your federal needs!

County Road 9…..

Our guys are working on a water main break on County Road 9. We are going to shut off water in this area for a short time. We hope this will be completed within a couple hours.

Please be patient as we make these needed repairs.

We are making repairs on a major water line. We had to turn off water to some areas of town. The repairs are complete so we should have water restored shortly.
