Friday night, we had a wonderful Republican candidate forum at Foxwood in Gordo. It was a great crowd, and attendees had the opportunity to meet local, state, and federal candidates.
The Pickens County Young Republicans are grateful to everyone who came out and made the evening such a success. We also appreciate Foxwood for their gracious hospitality, Foxy Foods for the terrific refreshments, and all of the sponsors who helped make the event possible.
Thank you to the candidates who traveled from across the county and around the state to spend time with us.
For the benefit of voters in our county, we will be posting the candidates’ speeches in their entirety over the coming days for you to review. The goal of the Young Republicans is to promote conservative Christian principles in our elections and to encourage an informed electorate.
