Pickens County Sheriff is not the place for on-the-job training.
This job requires judgment. Experience. The ability to make difficult decisions when the phone rings in the middle of the night and there is no time to guess, learn as you go, or hope someone else has the answer.
For the past four years, I have had the privilege and responsibility of serving as Sheriff of Pickens County. I have worked alongside our deputies, supported the men and women who protect this county every day, responded when our communities needed us, and made keeping our families safe a priority.
Law enforcement experience matters because the Sheriff is responsible for far more than a title. The Sheriff leads the Sheriff’s Office, oversees the county jail, works with other agencies, responds to serious crimes and emergencies, and makes decisions that affect real people and real families every day.
Pickens County deserves more than someone who simply meets the minimum requirements to hold the office. We deserve a Sheriff with proven leadership, real-world law enforcement experience, and a record of doing the work when it matters most.
I am proud of the work we have accomplished, but there is still more to do. With your support, I will continue bringing conservative values, steady leadership, and proven experience to the office of Sheriff.
